Work Schedule: 5:00 am to 5:00 pm
Production team members follow a rotating biweekly schedule:
- Week 1: 4 days – Monday through Thursday
- Week 2: 3 days – Monday through Wednesday
Pay: $20.07 to $24.64/hour
Reports to: Shift Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Location: Onsite Hickory, NC
Position Summary: As a Molder Flex Operator, you’ll help build high-quality devices by assembling components and supporting various areas of the device room. You’ll rotate between roles such as molder set up, molder operator, and final stack packer, depending on team needs.
Essential Functions:
- Molder Duties: Set up and adjust injection molders, welders, testers, and printers within set parameters. Assemble cells/packets into devices. Inspect components and finished products for quality. Troubleshoot and adjust equipment as needed.
- Final Stack Packaging: Package products according to work orders. Check labeling, packaging, and palletizing for accuracy. Inspect gaskets and follow special packaging instructions.
- Rotational Support Across Operations: Collaborate with team members to rotate through various device production tasks and supporting warehousing activities. Step in during absences, assist with cross-training, and help maintain smooth operations.
- Recordkeeping: Accurately document production data in logs, journals, or computer systems. Complete required paperwork and electronic entries for finished products, quality checks, and manufacturing activities.
- Safety First: Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective gear. Operate forklifts and other equipment safely. Keep your work area clean and hazard-free. Report and help fix any safety or equipment issues.
- Quality Matters: Follow GMP and ISO standards. Work with quality technicians to meet product standards. Participate in audits when needed.
- Team Communication: Treat coworkers and supervisors with respect. Share updates, test results, and concerns clearly. Handle challenges with professionalism and teamwork. Support a positive and inclusive work environment.
Other Duties
- Participate in continuous improvement and training initiatives.
- Assist with other manufacturing and plant operations as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years’ production experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) Required
- Familiarity with molding equipment and setup procedures
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a production or warehouse environment
- Awareness of quality control standards and inspection techniques
- Effective communication skills for working within a team
- Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment or process issues
- Ability to rotate between roles and adapt to changing team needs
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
- Ability to perform job-related reading, writing, and mathematics.
Other Qualifications
- Forklift certified and ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack preferred.
Physical Requirements

While performing job duties, operators may be required to:
- Walk, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
- Use hands for writing, keyboarding, and operating equipment.
- Lift and place finished goods weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, and up to 65 lbs. occasionally, onto pallets for distribution.
- Push, pull, and grip objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Operate production machinery, forklifts, and scissor lifts, requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Sensory Requirements:
- This position typically functions in a manufacturing and warehouse setting with exposure to machinery, moving parts, and moderate noise levels.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures depending on the season and location within the facility.
- Requires standing, walking, and moving between workstations for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- Involves repetitive hand and arm movements during molding, assembly, and packing processes.
- Employees rotate between roles based on production needs, requiring adaptability and cross-training.
- Must effectively manage time-sensitive tasks both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
Working Conditions
This position typically functions in a production environment. There will be exposure to moderate noise levels, fumes, dust, chemicals, heat/cold, and allergens especially in the production environment.
